대한요트협회

한중일 친선 리개터 조직위원회에서는 일본 요트협회가 불참함으로써 대회를 무기 연기한다고 알려왔습니다. 본 협회는 중국요트협회의 초청 서신이 촉박하게 왔음에도 불구하고 신속히 선수를 선발하여 대회조직위원회에 통보하였으나, 일본은 시일이 촉박하다는 이유로 참가를 거절함으로써 이번 일이 발생하였습니다. 본 협회나 참가신청을 한 선수 여러분 모두 대회조직위원회의 업무처리에 실망하였지만, 본 협회가 촉박한 일정에서도 신속히 선수선발하여 통보한 것에 대해 중국측에서는 미안함과 아울러 감사를 표시했습니다. 이것은 앞으로 북경올림픽을 앞두고 중국과 협조시 유리하게 작용할 것으로 위안을 삼아야 할 것 같습니다. 참가신청을 한 선수 여러분에게 감사드림니다. 

* 중국협회 서신 내용

Dear Mr.Park,

First of all, on behalf of Chinese Yachting Association, we are very appreciate your cooperation and very sorry that we gave you the details of the regatta too late and also late for japanese team. That's the reson they can not send a team to the regatta. So we have to make the carry-forward in order to give everybody more time for preparation. We will give you everything much more early next time.

Although the friendship regatta can not be carry through on time, in this difficult situation, you have already show us your great friendship and your strong authority of your federation. We do believe that we will have more opportunity to develop our friendship in the nearer future.
